Well, it's been about
a week since our wonderful 10th Annual Golf Outing and everyone is still buzzing
about what a great day it was! We were so very lucky with the weather! It was
just a magnificent day, from the fabulous massages in the morning to the
cocktails at sunset; it was just an extraordinary day….I do believe that a great
time was had by all!!!!
The numbers aren't
all in as yet but I know we had a very successful day for our beloved Center! We
had 25 fabulous raffle prizes and sold 100's of mulligan's! We had a great time
with our PGA Pro and National Spokesperson, Brett Massingham and were thrilled
with his surprise gift to the Center with a special pass to raffle off a day at
the Master’s with Brett in April!!! A very special thank you to Roy Putrino for
bidding $900 for this incredible day!! We are so happy to have Brett with us
year after year healthy and continuing to perform at the highest level on the
golf course. However, we so missed
Maggie Weder’s presence AND her long drive this year!!! Maggie and Angela
Stewart qualified to represent North
Carolina at the USGA Woman’s State Team
championship! What a wonderful
opportunity for them both; a once in a lifetime opportunity. Maggie was so torn
and so wanted to be with us! I wish she was able to see everyone’s faces as I
read her loving letter explaining why she couldn’t be with us; how Golfin4MS has
saved her and that she made 109 birdies, 1 eagle and $18,500 through her
continuing efforts to raise money for our wonderful Center this year!!! Maggie’s
passion for our cause continues to take my breath away. She has become a tireless advocate for
herself and for our patients with her Golfin4MS campaign; her fortitude
throughout the year is simply spectacular and inspirational. We are so pleased that she is doing well
(thanks to Angela Stewart as well) and so proud to have her as part of our
Center’s close knit family of supporters
I really don't
know how to thank all of you for your help and support! Each one of you bought
a special touch to an outstanding event! June Halper, my assistant Sarah, Gary
