Well, it's been about a week since our wonderful 9th Annual Golf
Outing and everyone is still buzzing about what a great day it was! We
were so very lucky with the weather! Chris, we know you couldn't make
it and we missed you, but you certainly ordered THE perfect weather
day for us!!!! It was just a magnificent day, from the fabulous
massages in the morning to the cocktails at sunset; it was just an
extraordinary day….I do believe that a great time was had by all!!!!
The numbers aren't all in as yet but I know we had a very successful
day for our beloved Center! We had 25 fabulous raffle prizes, sold
100's of mulligan's, plus Maggie Weder's LONG DRIVE sale on hole #3
along with the 50/50 and putt-off at the end of the day added to our
very successful effort! Maggie’s passion for our cause just took our
collective breath away. She has become a tireless advocate for
herself and for our patients with her Golfin 4 MS campaign; her donation of close
to $16,000 that she raised throughout the year was simply spectacular
and inspirational. We are so pleased that she is doing well (thanks
to Angela Stewart as well) and so proud to have her as part of our
Center’s close knit family of supporters. All of this not only added
fun and excitement to our tournament, but sets it apart from the very
many that take place every year. Of course, all funds raised
subsidize our costs so that can continue to deliver a level of MS
patient care second to none.
I really don't know how to thank all of you for your help and support!
Each one of you bought a special touch to an outstanding event! June

(GREAT sister team!!!) (Wish someone won 1 of those GORGEOUS cars!)
And thanks to Fred Futterman, who won the putt off contest with a
dramatic last putt effort to win the contest, for donating his
winnings back to the Center.
I'd also like to thank our National Spokesperson Brett Massingham who,
though he was unable to attend last year due to the motorcycle
accident he suffered a week before our event, was back with us and
also back to being his old inspiring self this year. We are so happy
to see Brett smiling, healthy and continuing to perform at the highest
level on the golf course. He remains our major champion for our
Center and the fight against MS.
One brief word about White Beeches. It was, of course, noted that the
club’s greens conditions were far below our expectations and their own
standards of excellence. To their credit, the club faced the
significant, and unexpected problem head on, and served us in every
other respect to the highest professional standard.
White Beeches has asked that we pass on to you their appreciation of
the graciousness our group displayed in this regard, along with their
commitment to rectify the problem. They have invited us to return
next year and they have assured us that their venue will be up to the
level of excellence expected. By all accounts, our outing and White
Beeches met and exceeded our expectations in all other respects, and
we have therefore chosen to return next year on Monday September 17th,
2007.
Again thanks to ALL for your efforts; our volunteers, our committee,
our staff, and our sponsors, everyone really helped make this year's
wonderful event a spectacular outing!!!!! We are all a great team!
